Drive Imaging

Post by LocalAdmin » Wed Jun 07, 2017 4:17 pm

I am currently looking to update the backup solution which I have on my Windows Server. I need to sync files to FTP, compress and encrypt files locally and to FTP and archive locally to USB. I've had a look at your software and it looks excellent, but there is one feature missing which I would really like which is missing.

I would like to be able to schedule a full drive image so I could do a bare metal recovery in the event of a catastrophic failure. Having all my data backed up in multiple locations with your software would be ideal, but a full drive image would save a lot of time reinstalling and configuring all the software which I have on my server should the main drive fail. I realise that I could manually image the server OS drive with some free software regularly, but having an automated task would be better.

Is this something you would consider adding to your application?

Thanks for your response.

Thank you for your question.

I am glad you like our application, but unfortunately Exiland Backup is intended only for back up of files (not for creating images of drives). We plan adding this feature to our application, but not to the nearest version.
