Full path information inside ZIP archive (backup)

Post by HappyAdmin » Sat Apr 29, 2017 4:58 pm

Dear Developers,

I want to keep the full path to each file inside the ZIP archive starting from the root of the disk.
How can I do this?

Thanks in advance.

HappyAdmin,

Please open your task settings by clicking on the Edit button.
You need to set the Check box "Save full path information" as shown at the picture.

By the way, you can see new paths of files inside future backup before you create a backup.
To do this, select your backup task in the list and click on the Scan button located on the top panel.

This feature allows you to scan and know the size of the source data according to the specified attributes, masks as well as know paths of files inside future backup!

Post by AaronKeday » Sun Sep 10, 2017 12:07 am

I am running Uranium backup version 8.6.7 build 4865 and backin up files in to a zip destionation.
unfortunally I am getting an error :
File path or file name is too long or incorrect 255 characters max
Is there a way to extend this length?

AaronKeday,

I am developer of Exiland Backup. Uranium backup is not our software.
The problem with the file path length longer than 259 characters is solved in Exiland Backup.
Try Exiland Backup and see for yourself.
